Honoring
the Past.
Building
the Future.
The San Diego Inner City Junior Golf Foundation was founded in 1996 by Horace Brown and his father, Gordon Brown Sr., with a shared vision of using the game of golf to create meaningful opportunities for underserved youth. Today, Horace continues the work they began together while honoring the legacy of his late parents, Gordon Brown Sr. and Harriett Brown, and their lifelong dedication to golf, service, and community. Through mentorship, education, leadership development, and scholarship opportunities, the Foundation helps young people build confidence, character, and brighter futures.
What began in 1996 as a vision shared by Horace and his father has grown into an enduring commitment to opening doors for the next generation. By connecting young people with positive role models, meaningful experiences, and opportunities that may otherwise be out of reach, the Foundation uses golf as a pathway to personal growth, education, leadership, and lifelong success.
